Happy 4th of July!

We wish you all a happy holiday weekend.     Celebrate life, most of us are blessed.   With deference to those of you out of the USA, those of us who live here are very blessed.    We are born into a wonderful life.

Summer here in Wisconsin, it has been a rainy one for us.  It rains almost every day, and we are hoping that we can have a little less of that.  Marie hopes some of it would head south to New Mexico, and we wish we could share it.    Trying to find time and dryness to cut the grass has been a challenge!  But the garden is doing pretty well, but even the tomatoes and peppers could use some dry feet.   But  some rain to continue is probably a good thing, as we will be gone a couple of weeks and the vegetables and flowers could use some help!    We leave for Detroit tomorrow, and Monday we fly to Frankfort.   Everything is as set as it can be.   We have train tickets for Rothenburg, Munich, Salzburg and Zurich, and then a car for a week in Switzerland.   Mix it up a little!  We will have a great time, I will get the girls some exercise!   So I am sure more pictures to come.   Chuck soon I get to meet you and your family!

Otherwise we have been busy.   Just always something.   And of course time to spend with friends and share some beers and food.   Life is good. Work a bit stressful at times,  but everyone’s work life has become more hectic it seems.    So we just do the best we can.    But there are always weekends.    And this will be the first time I disconnect from work for 2 weeks in many years.   I think I will get used to it.   Maintenance always to do, a new roof on the docket for August.    I had a headlight go out, those of you mechanically inclined will love this.  Check out how to change a headlight bulb on new generation GM vehicles.  http://www.carcarekiosk.com/video/2009_Chevrolet_Malibu_LS_2.4L_4_Cyl./lights/headlight

Take care!

Enjoy your trip. We will miss you in Door County. You are right about how lucky we are to have been born in the U.S.A. Had a great day here in Wauwatosa. Weather was fantastic for parade and cookout. Take care.
