March 15, 2023

Time does seem to fly by.    No big things happening here in Florida but we sure seem to be busy!   I have not golfed as much as I need to, my scores show it.   But I try to get out each week.  We have had our neighbor grill out each week, a nice night to share a meal and some comradery.  We have included breakfast and a super bowl party. We have had numerous Saturday morning trips to the Delray farmers market, and many happy hours and cigars.  Along with time at the pool and a little gardening.  We have not been at our local haunts as often as past years,  a concession to our check book and waistlines.  It has taken awhile to get our neighbors to full strength as a couple have had some physical delays.  But we are full strength now.  When the weather is warm we can interact with neighbors each day (and we have warmth each day) so we have a wonderful social network.  At the end of January Wally and Bev spent some time with us and we spent some time with them in Orlando area, including a night with Darren and Sheryl with German beer and polkas. Our birthdays; Randy, Chris and Marie, have come and gone and that means we have another year of adventure to look forward to.

It looks like the northern weather has been a mild winter and we are thankful for that (for our good friends!).   But we still love our sunshine and warmth.  A time change has come, which means more hours for golf (well we could have gone out earlier, but we are retired).  And it means more hours to enjoy the sunshine and our good friends.  We hope the rest of winter and the spring is easy on our northern family and friends.  We will see you in a few months!

Glad everything is going well for you, Chris and Marie. We are in Tucson as you probably know. We spent some time with Enders and Shanahans here, but did not have the best of weather. Seems to be warming up now and the rain and snow of April have produced some wonderful desert flowers. Plus we know the moisture is critical for water supplies and to prevent wildfires so…. Take care. We are thinking of you. Hope to spend some time with you back in Wisconsin.

Great pictures! I still miss Snug Harbor! Most of the residents of A and B are new, but that’s alright. I’m happy you both love it there, as I’m sure Clyde and Millie are looking down and smiling (Al and Viv, too!). Florida can be a real paradise!

Reminds us of all the good times we had at Snug. God willing we hope to get back again next year.

Glad to see your blue sky and green grass. March has seen the most snow here but melts quickly and we should have more rain this week with temps. in the 40’s and may hit 50. Not bad really.
I will have a lot of yard work ahead as the guy he does our plowing seems to like to dig up the grass along with the snow. We need road repair bad on this end for sure. 10 deer came in the other nights and most birds are in now also, robins and sand hill cranes and more geese, as some, like the ducks stay the Winter.
Busy days at the Food Pantry and I am looking for someone younger to take my place, but it seems they would need a wage unlike me with all the volunteer hours I put in…usually 3 days a week at least. UGH.
R& R to the Casino on Monday and Friday the 24th to the PAC in Appleton with John for CATS…can’t wait. Take care hope this year I will see you Chris and catch up. Is Marie coming this way this Summer?? Barb
