Hi All, It has been awhile since I did an update! Life seems busy as usual, but life is good. We are currently in Albuquerque visiting Marie. Weather is beautiful, no clouds in the sky. Cool mornings quickly warm up to the upper 70’s. We have seen lot’s of old friends and kept Marie busy cleaning house! We went through a few things that she was ready to sort and she was good about making decisions. So a number of trips to Goodwill and neighbor Joe took me to the dump, and there is a lot more space! And we have been busy eating and drinking as usual! Diet next week! The beer scene in the Albuquerque area is exciting. We have been to Turtle Mountain, Marble, Bosque, Cazuella’s brew pubs and had a few tastes of other beers. In honor of Octoberfest most have had good hefeweizens. We even went to an Octoberfest celebration, New Mexico needs a little work on being German, but they did have a couple of German style bands and 4 breweries, and brats! And I have gotten a little walking in, the country side is very nice. Marie is out far enough in Rio Rancho to have lots of rural areas to walk. The desert, but the Sandia mountains are close by. Even saw some hot air balloons, but this weekend is ballon fiesta so there will be 100’s of balloons when we leave, and we leave Tuesday.
September saw a fun wedding for the Enders. Congratulations to Andrew and Alison, the outdoor wedding turned out amazing, and of course fun was had by all. And Chris and I remain busy on our own house cleaning. The 5th wheel camper is sold, a utility trailer, the pontoon boat should be gone this week. And truck is up for sale and Turn Key Auto thinks it should sell quickly once we get a couple of things taken care of. So still working on the Bayliner and the boat lift, and may have a line on someone for the boat lift if I can tell him how he can move it easily. Otherwise we are getting to the point that those may need to wait until Spring. And if the house would sell before then we will have to write in a disclaimer to leave them on the property awhile.
So we hope you all have had a wonderful summer and that your fall is full of sunny refreshing days!
When I seen your blog, I knew there would be a mention of drinking. I’ve been to Rio Rancho also.
We are ahead of our schedule this year. The trailer has been winterized but the boat is still ready to go.
Had another coat of polish on it. I swear Dick has added at least an inch to the surface of the boat with all his polishing.
Enjoy the rest of your trip and say hello to Chris and Marie for us.
Sad you have sold the camper. Seems like the end of an era for you. You are good at making decisions and moving on. I envy your resolve. Hope all the moving and selling goes well for you, and that younwill stillmspend some time in Door County with us.
