Happy Thanksgiving 2025

We want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! We are living a good life here in Florida. The weather has been wonderful, although today it clouded up this afternoon because of a cold front coming down from up north. If course it will still be in the 70’s. MJ came down Wednesday so we had our traditional Thanksgiving meal, and football (Go Packers).

So we give thanks that we are together and are doing well. We give thanks for our friends, all of you across the country. And we give thanks that we won’t be shoveling snow this weekend!

We hope you are all well and have had a good day. God Bless

A belated Happy Thanksgiving Day to all of you. Sue and Ricks house was filled with food, too much but so good. Packer’s win topped off the day for sure. Again, this year my friend from the Telephone Co. Judy and her daughter joined us “down the road”. Judy gave both Sue and Rick blankets she made…beautiful indeed for a gift. Today we have light snow…just enough right now to sweep with the broom of the deck. So many birds keep me running to refill the feeders. The Cardinals and Jays colors are seen more now when they sit on the deck railing in the white snow. I have gained more squirrels…9 at the moment. Corn is out for the deer…I hope the hunters leave a few and I fear for some that were so tame I could see their eye lashes. Still a nightly feeding for the possum…I think lives under the deck, and racoons that have found the nightly feed also. Love the country and all the beauty of nature. City life is not for me!! The pantry has been busy due to the cuts from the government and we are happy to help where we can. We are blessed with donors that also believe that kindness and sharing is the way this country can come back to brotherhood. So again….stay in touch. Wishing all good health and happiness. Barb

Happy July 4, 2025

On from Savannah we went, and took a scenic ride to Asheville NC. It is summer and each leg of our trip included some road construction and slow downs, but that is just part of the trip. Nothing too terrible and Android Auto has already calculated that in to the scheduled time on the road. […]
