Happy St Patrick’s day! OK, one day late. We celebrated with friends, a party at the pool and catered in corned beef and cabbage. But very good, and the Irish coffee’s topped it off. We are in Florida since Tuesday. Weather in the Midwest is record breaking, but we do love Florida. Once the sun goes down here it is still warm and comfortable. We booked awhile back, and to get decent airline rates stayed a week. And my boss let me work some days from here so I did not have to burn up vacation. That works great. And weather has been wonderful here also. Every day sun shine and ocean breezes.
I have worked some hours on our kitchen plan. We did cabinets in the dining room last year with a plan to extend to the kitchen eventually. Just a small kitchen here. And some condo’s had opened up the wall, and we really like how that opens up the kitchen and dining room. So I feel good that I have made that progress. This may be our last time down until next winter, so we can plan with how it looks now.
So everyone enjoy the wonderful weather. We are all blessed!
Can’t believe our weather. Sometimes I think it is the other month that begins with “M”, May.
Enjoy your vacation.
Randy That really looks great. It makes a such a difference. You did a good job. I’m so glad you’re having a good time. Say HI to the gang. Safe trip home. Tell Chris I’ll see her soon. Looking forward to her trip here. The girls are waiting for her too. Will see you in May. Love Marie
Very nice! Glad you had a great time! Safe travels! Deb
Looking good! I hope to be able to enjoy it with you – after we have soaked in all that WI has to offer us for the next 6 months or so. Looking forward to soaking up some suds with my friends, starting soon. It’s been so warm the curling ice is melting!
Great call on the renovation, looks good! When should we stop by for cocktails?
Hi Randy. I’m back from Florida where the weather was solala. Had temperatures in the upper 80ies and in the lower 40ies. Here the snow is melting away like butter in the sun. However about 15 minutes from here and higher up there are still 6 feet of snow but people are more sunbathing than skiing. While in Florida we did some repairs on Elizabeth’s house and were wondering how simple American houses are built. To open a wall like you did you would need here a jackhammer rather than a good Swiss army knife. Our walls are mostly of concrete or at least bricks. An then the electric wirings…. My God, what we have seen there blows really the top off. Well I think our houses are built to last for ever while your houses are to last for one or two generations only.
